A clear puppy advert identifies the breed or mix, litter, location and current availability, then explains who the breeder is and how to enquire. Use specific facts, recent photos and your own words. Keep the advert consistent with the details you give in a message.
Write the facts before the description
Start with a small information sheet. It is easier to write an accurate advert when the dates, names and availability are in front of you. If you cannot answer something yet, leave a note to check it rather than filling the gap with a reassuring phrase.
The Royal Kennel Club encourages prospective owners to ask who bred the puppies, their age and about their parents. Think of your advert as the start of those questions, not a substitute for the conversation.

| Detail | What to write down |
|---|---|
| Litter | Breed or mix, date of birth and a clear litter identifier |

| Parents | Names and the factual background you can explain |
| Enquiry | What prospective owners should tell you in their first message |

Make the opening specific
Use the first two sentences to identify the litter and location. Avoid opening with a string of adjectives such as beautiful, perfect or amazing. Those words do not tell a reader which dogs you mean.
For example, “Our [breed or mix] litter was born on [date] and is based in [town or area]. We are currently taking enquiries about [accurate availability].” The brackets are a writing aid, not facts to invent. Replace each one and remove anything that does not apply.
Use this description template in your own words
This example is a blank writing template, not a real breeder or litter:
We are [public name or business], based in [town or area]. This is our [breed or mix] litter, born on [date]. Mum is [name] and dad is [name]; [short, factual background you can explain]. We are currently taking enquiries about [availability]. The photos show [identify the puppies and any parent pictured]. If you would like to speak with us, please tell us a little about your household, your experience with the breed and your preferred timing.
Add details that distinguish this litter, using observations you can describe. Keep broad claims about suitability out of the opening. No short description can promise how an individual puppy will develop or that it will suit every home.
Connect each photo to the right dog
Give readers a way to connect the pictures with the text. If you use names or temporary labels, use the same ones throughout the advert and your replies. Identify a parent or an older photo clearly, so it cannot be mistaken for a currently available puppy.
Pets4Homes separates individual pet details from the litter information in its advert process. You can apply the same useful distinction to your writing: describe the litter once, then add only the details that differ between puppies. Do not repeat the full litter description under every photo.

Replace vague claims with information you can show
If you mention registration, a qualification or a record, state accurately what you mean and be ready to discuss the relevant evidence. Do not copy a claim from another advert because it sounds persuasive. Keep personal documents and other people’s contact details out of public photos.
Write the first version yourself. A spelling check can help, but reject any suggested sentence that adds facts you did not supply. Your description should still sound like the person who will answer the enquiry.

Do one final check as a visitor
Preview the advert on your phone. Can you identify the litter without opening every photo? Do the dates, location, price fields and availability agree with the description? Does the cover photo still make sense as a small thumbnail?
After publication, update the advert when availability changes. A clear next step such as “Message us to arrange a conversation” is more useful than pressure to reserve immediately. Keep notes of repeated questions: if several people ask the same factual question, the advert may be missing the answer.
